Warren (Pa.) General Hospital is continuing renovations to its emergency department with a grant totaling $531,000, The Post-Journal reported Aug. 17.
U.S. Sen. Robert Casey of Pennsylvania announced the hospital is receiving a rural development grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Mr. Casey said Americans in rural areas deserve reliable access to healthcare.
"This $531,000 Rural Development grant will ensure Warren General Hospital can continue to serve as a reliable lifeline for so many patients and their families right here in Warren County. With a renovated emergency room, the hospital will be able to improve patient care and reduce the spread of COVID-19," Mr. Casey said.
The hospital is in the second phase of renovation.
