Pennsylvania hospital faces payroll issues for 14th time since August

Several disruptions to payroll at Ellwood City (Pa.) Medical Center have been reported in recent months, and some workers didn't receive their paychecks on March 15, according to the Ellwood City Ledger.

Hospital workers told the Ellwood City Ledger that they have not been told when they will receive their paychecks. The nonpayment occurred after employees received minimum wage for their hours worked for the last four payrolls.

Ellwood City Medical Center employees have reported 14 paycheck delays or nonpayments since August. The hospital, owned and managed by Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Americore Health, is the subject of federal and state investigations because of the payroll problems, according to the report.
