ONC’s Health IT Strategic Plan Has Limited Discussion of ICD-10

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology mentions ICD-10 implementation only once in its “Federal Health IT Strategic Plan 2011-2015,” according to an ICD10Watch.com report.

A small paragraph, essentially defining ICD-10 and outlining its benefits, was the extent of the plan’s discussion of the new coding system.
