The Ohio House of Representatives declined to vote on overriding Ohio Gov. John Kasich's veto on a bill that would have frozen Medicaid expansion in the state, according to The Enquirer.
While the House voted to override 11 of Mr. Kasich's Medicaid-related budget vetoes, the Medicaid expansion veto was dismissed as House Speaker Cliff Rosenberg (R) decided to wait on changes at the federal level.
Lawmakers have until Dec. 31, 2018, to override the veto if they are unhappy with Medicaid changes at the federal level, according to the report.
The Ohio Senate will meet next week to review the House's overrides and will need a thee-fifths majority to be approved.
