Moody's affirms 'Baa2' rating for Children's Hospital Los Angeles

Leo Vartorella -

Moody's Investors Service affirmed its "Baa2" rating for Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, affecting $438 million of rated debt.

The affirmation reflects several of the hospital's strengths, including strong clinical reputation, good market share and fundraising track record. However, despite a rise in commercially insured patients, the hospital's payer mix is still challenging.

The rating outlook has been revised from stable to positive.
