For-profit hospital stock report: Week of March 2-6

All five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stocks rise last week.

Shares of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare were up 6.33 percent last week, the most of any of the major for-profit hospital operators.

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $50.79 per share (up 4.70 percent)
  • Hospital Corporation of America (Nashville, Tenn.): $72.82 per share (up 1.76 percent)
  • LifePoint Hospitals (Brentwood, Tenn.): $72.30 per share (up 0.47 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare Corp. (Dallas): $49.23 per share (up 6.33 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $114.06 per share (up 0.62 percent)
