For-profit hospital stock report: Week of June 19-23

All five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices rise last week.

Among the major for-profit hospital operators, Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems saw the greatest increase in share price at 3.9 percent.

Here is how the five operators stacked up, as of June 23.

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $9.33 per share (up 3.9 percent)
  • HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $86.24 per share (up 3.4 percent)
  • LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $65.50 per share (up 2 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $18.52 per share (up 1.7 percent)
  • Universal Healthcare Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $115.50 (up 0.4 percent)
