For-profit hospital stock report: Week of June 12-16

All five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices rise last week.

Among the major for-profit hospital operators, Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems saw the largest increase in share price at 4.9 percent.

Here is how the five operators stacked up, as of June 16.

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $8.98 per share (up 4.9 percent)
  • HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $83.39 per share (up 0.05 percent)
  • LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $64.20 per share (up 0.9 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $18.21 per share (up 1.4 percent)
  • Universal Healthcare Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $115.06 (up 1.6 percent)
