For-profit hospital stock report: Week of July 9-13

Three of the five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices rise last week.

Among the major for-profit hospital operators, King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services saw the greatest increase in share price, at 2.4 percent.

How the five operators stacked up as of July 13:

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $2.86 per share (down 7.7 percent)
  • HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $106.55 per share (up 1.3 percent)
  • LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $48.50 per share (up 0.7 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $34.24 per share (down 3.3 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $114.74 per share (up 2.4 percent)
