For-profit hospital stock report: Week of April 9-13

Four of the five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices rise last week.

Among the major for-profit hospital operators, Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems saw the greatest increase in share price at 1.5 percent.

Here are how the five operators stacked up as of April 13.

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $4.16 per share (up 1.5 percent)
  • HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $96.26 per share (up 0.02 percent)
  • LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $48.00 per share (up 1.4 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $23.70 per share (down 0.04 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $119.64 per share (up 1 percent)
