Concurrently, Fitch assigned its “A” issuer default rating to the medical center.
The upgrade and assignment are a result of the medical center’s strong operating performance and low leverage ratio. Fitch also acknowledged Sky Lakes Medical Center’s weak service area and high reliance on self-pay and Medicaid payers.
The outlook is stable.
