Delaware to rebid Medicaid contracts, move 80% of spending to value-based models

Morgan Haefner -

Delaware is rebidding its Diamond State Health Plan and Diamond State Health Plan Plus Medicaid managed care contracts, according to an Open Minds report.

The contracts may be effective as soon as Jan. 1, 2018. During the next three years, Delaware aims to move 80 percent of its Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program spending to value-based models.

To attain this benchmark, Delaware seeks value-based payment models with upside and downside risk, according to the report.
