Cincinnati-based Christ Hospital received a $2 million donation from the Frank and Margo Homan Family Foundation to support heart failure research, according to the Cincinnati Business Courier.

The $2 million donation will allow the hospital to create an endowed chair at Christ Hospital's Heart and Vascular Center, enabling Eugene Chung, MD to conduct comprehensive heart failure research and expand the heart failure program he established in 2000, according to the report.

Dr. Chung is a heart failure specialist and the executive medical director or Christ Hospital Cardiovascular Physicians.

"I'm excited about the future of care for heart failure as well as the technologies and innovations we are able to introduce in the region. I look forward to exploring and implementing new ways to help people with heart failure live long, fruitful lives," Dr. Chung told the Cincinnati Business Courier
