Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, Calif., has received a $7 million donation from local philanthropists Terri and Jerry Kohl, the founders of accessories company Brighton Collectibles, hospital officials announced Aug. 14.

The donation will support the expansion of the hospital's new heart and vascular center.

"Terri and Jerry Kohl have been longtime supporters of Huntington Hospital," Jane Haderlein, Huntington Hospital's senior vice president of philanthropy and public relations, said in a news release. "Through their extraordinary generosity, we are able to provide the community with state-of-the-art cardiac facilities for generations to come."

Three members of the Kohl family received heart care at the hospital, including Mr. Kohl who participates in the hospital's cardiac rehabilitation program.
