Bankrupt hospital chain to sell Missouri facility for $10M

Ayla Ellison -

A bankruptcy judge approved Boca Raton, Fla.-based Promise Healthcare Group's sale of its hospital in St. Louis.

In December, Promise Healthcare, which operates a chain of hospitals and nursing homes, requested to sell its Missouri facility for $10 million to Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Americore Holdings. Promise said it did not expect to receive a higher bid than the one offered by Americore, according to Reuters.

The bankruptcy judge approved the sale Jan. 8.

Promise Healthcare and its affiliates entered bankruptcy in November after years of financial troubles. The company has secured buyers for its facilities in Los Angeles and San Diego and plans to sell the rest of its assets at auction Feb. 20.
