'American Horror Story' creator donates $10M to Children's Hospital Los Angeles, where son was treated for cancer

Ryan Murphy, creator of the television series "American Horror Story," donated $10 million to Children's Hospital Los Angeles Oct. 22 to thank staffers who treated his son's cancer, according to People Magazine.

Mr. Murphy's 4-year-old son, Ford, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in 2016 and had several surgeries and procedures at the hospital  to fight the cancer.

Now Mr. Murphy and his husband David Miller are celebrating Ford's drastically improved health.

"Today at the hospital we are donating a wing in tribute to Ford, and our family is making a gift of $10 million so that other children can experience the love and care of this exceptional facility. No child is turned away at Children's Hospital," Mr. Murphy wrote in an Instagram post. "We are so honored and lucky to contribute and encourage everybody who can to do the same."
