The company, which celebrated its fifth year on June 27, now operates 27 ACOs across 25 states, together managing more than $3.5 billion in healthcare spending. “Five years ago, we founded Aledade with the core belief that with the right help, independent primary care physicians can thrive in the new, value-based healthcare system,” Farzad Mostashari, MD, Aledade CEO and co-founder, said in a press release.
The five new ACOs will start in Medicare’s Pathways to Success Program on July 1 alongside 11 existing Aledade ACOs.
The new ACOs collectively bring together 23 different physician groups.
