8 hospitals receive credit downgrades in past month

Eight hospitals and health systems received a credit downgrade during the past month, according to a report from HFA Partners.

The hospitals and health systems receiving credit downgrades included the following:

  • Brazosport Regional Health System (Lake Jackson, Texas)— from BB+ to BB (S&P)
  • East Liverpool (Ohio) City Hospital — from B2 to Caa1 (Moody's)
  • Floyd Memorial Hospital (New Albany, Ind.) — from BBB to BBB- (S&P)
  • MaineGeneral Medical Center (Augusta) — from Ba1 to Ba2 (Moody's)
  • Memorial Hospital at Gulfport (Miss.) — from A2 to A3 (Moody's)
  • Metropolitan Health Corp. — (Wyoming, Mich.) from BB+ to BB (S&P)
  • Parish Medical Center (Titusville, Fla.) — from A- to BBB+ (S&P)
  • Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital (Albany, Ga.) — from AA- to A+ (S&P)
