4 hospitals receive credit downgrades in past month

Four hospitals and health systems received credit downgrades during the past month, according to a report from HFA Partners.

The hospitals and health systems receiving credit downgrades included the following:

  • Boone Hospital Center (Columbia, Mo.) — from A3 to Baa1 (Moody's)
  • Catholic Health Initiatives (Englewood, Colo.) — from A+ to BBB+ (Fitch)
  • Middlesex Hospital (Middletown, Conn.) — from A2 to A3 (Moody's)
  • Trinity Health System (Steubenville, Ohio) — from A3 to Baa1 (Moody's)
