Mr. Parkinson is the former CEO of Baxter International, and both he and his wife are Loyola alumni. The Parkinson School of Health Sciences & Public Health will begin degree programs this fall. Nearly 16 percent of Loyola’s 17,000 undergraduate and graduate students are enrolled in health science programs.

“From the employer’s side, there’s great demand [for healthcare professionals], not just in current needs, but looking to the future,” said Jo Ann Rooney, president of Loyola.
