St. Luke's University Health Network added eight electric vehicle charging stations to its Anderson campus in Easton, Pa., which will be available 24/7 for patients, visitors, staff and the public.
The charging stations are located by the hospital's main entrance, as well as near the medical office building and cancer center.
"We want to encourage people to have sustainable practices," Ed Nawrocki, president of St. Luke's-Anderson, said in a press release. "It's the future."
St. Luke's partnered with Blink, an electric vehicle charging equipment provider, to add the charging stations at no cost to the health system. The charging stations are compatible with all electric vehicles sold in the U.S. and require the driver to pay for a charge.
St. Luke's plans to add similar charging stations to its new Upper Bucks campus in Quakertown, Pa.
