Sanford Health clocks 1M patient visits to global clinics, seeks expansion

Alia Paavola -

Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Sanford Health is looking to expand its World Clinic program after hitting 1 million patient visits, according to the Argus Leader.

Sanford Health hopes the 25-clinic program, nearly 10 years old, can form a partnership in New Zealand, add up to 300 clinics in Ghana and expand into other countries as well.

"We have a number of conversations that are being pursued in different countries, and expect that this vision for the World Clinic and the international agenda for Sanford Health will continue to mature and be realized," Micah Aberson, Sanford's chief global brand officer, who oversees the World Clinic program, told the Argus Leader.

The World Clinic program, the global arm of Sanford Health, currently operates clinics in Ghana, China, Germany and the U.S.

These clinics offer services such as primary care, regenerative medicine, specialized procedures, weight loss programs and clinic education.
