Orlando Health submits plans for downtown campus expansion

Leo Vartorella -

Orlando (Fla.) Health has submitted plans to the city of Orlando's planning division to add two buildings to its downtown campus.

One building is a 6,800-square-foot imaging center; the other is a nine-level parking structure for visitors and employees that includes over 12,000 square feet of office space.

Construction of the imaging center is expected to be completed in the fall. Construction of the parking structure will begin this spring and is expected to be completed in nine months.

"We're excited about bringing this new flagship imaging center to the heart of the Downtown South district on Orange Avenue," said Matt Taylor, vice president of asset strategy for Orlando Health. "In addition to serving patients with the most technologically advanced equipment in a welcoming setting, we are providing convenient patient parking adjacent to the building. The new location offers patients easy access to imaging services near their work or home."
