Ewa Beach, Hawaii-based Queens Medical Center West O'ahu will begin a $38 million renovation that will include 24 private patient rooms and two floors of specialty clinics.

Some of the expanded services will include general surgery, gastroenterology, cardiology, neurology and sports medicine along with new programs, including otolaryngology. The hospital will also build an eight-story parking structure.

"This renovation will extend our Queen's Mission to attend to healthcare needs in West Oahu, broaden our ability to elevate the health of native Hawaiians and the entire West community, and provide quality healthcare to all of the people of Hawaii," said Susan Murray, senior vice president, West Oahu Region, and COO of Queen's Medical Center – West O'ahu.

The renovations will "begin shortly and end in 2020," the hospital stated in a news release.
