Covenant Health gets zoning OK to build hospital in Texas

The Lubbock (Texas) City Council voted unanimously to approve a zoning request that would allow Lubbock-based Covenant Health — owned by Renton, Wash.-based Providence St. Joseph Health — to build a hospital, according to KFYO.

The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended that the zoning request be approved because it would not have a negative impact on traffic nearby.

The hospital will be built on 90 acres of land at 7620 82nd St.
