Meriden, Conn.-based MidState Medical Center is seeking approval from state officials for a $26 million renovation, according to CTPost.com.
The expansion will add three operating rooms and remodel a surgical corridor. New equipment will be purchased as well.
The approval process is expected to last six to eight months. The hospital asked city officials to relocate nearby soccer fields.
