Arkansas Heart Hospital rolls out food truck

Little Rock-based Arkansas Heart Hospital is one of the first hospitals in the nation to roll out a full-time food truck, according to KATV Little Rock.

The food truck, dubbed Food from the Heart, will begin driving across the state next month. Its first official appearance will take place May 2, during which Arkansas Heart Hospital Chef Coby Smith will serve the hospital's most famous dish: Japanese ramen.

"Our culinary department is nationally recognized. Providing the option of a food truck to businesses, clinics and other venues with healthy, delicious food was the next step," said Casey Atwood, director of culinary services and a registered dietician at Arkansas Heart Hospital.

The truck will provide a limited menu and travel to multiple pop-up locations. It will also be used in disaster to help feed affected areas, the report states.
