AdventHealth Ocala opens renovated emergency department

AdventHealth Ocala (Fla.) unveiled the first phase of its $27 million emergency department renovation Feb. 4, according to Ocala.com.

The first phase added a lobby, three trauma rooms, decontamination showers, a bariatric room and 22 private patient rooms. The second phase of the renovation will add 22 more private patient rooms.

"This expansion allows us additional capacity to provide our community with the clinical expertise and an enhanced environment to demonstrate our brand of inspired, compassionate care," said Joe Johnson, president and CEO of AdventHealth Ocala. "This is just one way we’re investing in our services to strengthen the impact and quality of the healthcare services we provide to our community."
