1. New hospital planned for Lee County, Georgia
Construction could begin in 2018 for a new hospital in Georgia's Lee County, according to a WFXL report.
2. Mercy Health plans $56M medical facility
Cincinnati-based Mercy Health plans to build a $56.3 million facility in Perrysburg, Ohio, according to a Toledo Blade report.
3. Novant Health to add 100 jobs with $49M expansion at Clemmons Medical Center
About 100 new jobs will be added to Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health's Clemmons Medical Center when construction on the facility is completed this summer, according to the Triad Business Journal.
4. Calvert Memorial Hospital plans $51M expansion
Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, Md., received approval from the Calvert County Planning Commission to go ahead with its planned $51 million expansion, according to The Bay Net.
5. Premier Health hospital in Ohio unveils $40M expansion
Englewood, Ohio-based Good Samaritan North Health Center, part of Dayton, Ohio-based Premier Health, is investing $40 million in service expansions, according to a 2 News report.
6. La Porte Hospital plans to break ground on $125M facility
La Porte (Ind.) Hospital, part of Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health, chose the site of its new $125 million facility, officials announced April 20.
7. Community Hospital in Indiana completes $20M surgical department
Munster, Ind.-based Community Hospital finished its $20 million surgical department this month, The Times reports.
8. Kaiser Permanente to open North Arundel Medical Center
Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States will open the North Arundel Medical Center in Glen Burnie, Md., in June.
9. Delray Medical Center to open 4-story patient tower in July
Construction has been ongoing at Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, Fla., on a new four-story patient tower. Jared Smith, COO of the medical center, said the facility is expected to open in July, according to the Sun Sentinel.
