Cheyenne (Wyo.) Regional Medical Center on Nov. 19 launched a mobile and tablet-based application across its inpatient units that allows patients to access information regarding their condition, treatment and hospital stay.
The MyChart Bedside app is powered by the hospital's Epic EHR system. With the app, patients can view their lab results, vital signs, medications and upcoming hospital schedule and appointments, among other information.
"Even though CRMC employees are readily available to answer questions, our patients have appreciated the app's added convenience,” said Erin McKinney, clinical director of CRMC's women and children's services, according to the news release.
The app also allows patients to record information and send messages to their clinical team.
CRMC piloted MyChart Bedside over the summer across its mother/baby, pediatric and oncology units.
