Williamson (W.Va.) Memorial Hospital implemented Expanse, a web-based EHR from Meditech.

Williamson Memorial Hospital, a critical access hospital, deployed Expanse through the vendor's Meditech-as-a-Service solution. Meditech-as-a-Service provides small and critical access hospitals with access to the company's platforms online using a subscription-based pricing model. Meditech said the solution is designed to help reduce the complexity and cost of maintaining an EHR system.

"Williamson Memorial Hospital decided to partner with Meditech and use [Meditech-as-a-Service] because it allows all of our hospital portals and systems to be stored in one central location," said Charlie Hatfield, CEO and co-owner of the hospital. "With [Meditech-as-a-Service] being operated by Meditech, it will take much of the stress off of our IT department."
