The Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative revealed its first-ever SHIEC Achievement Award winners during its fourth annual conference in Atlanta, which took place Aug. 19-22.
SHIEC is a national collaborative of health information exchanges. The collaborative's 70-plus HIE members manage and provide secure electronic data exchange for medical, behavioral and social service providers across the U.S., covering more than 200 million patients.
Here are the first-ever SHIEC Achievement Award winners:
- Advocacy and government relations: Utah Health Information Network (Salt Lake City)
- Community partnership: Health Current (Phoenix)
- Innovation: Indiana Health Information Exchange (Indianapolis)
- Quality and quality data: Health Share Exchange (Philadelphia)
- Leadership: Angie Bass, CEO of Missouri Health Connection (Columbia)
