Maury Regional Health to transition to Cerner EHR

Columbia, Tenn.-based Maury Regional Health is going live on Cerner's EHR system Nov. 1.

Previously, the health system used multiple EHR platforms. This move consolidates the platforms used within the health system. Patient records will indicate care received at any of the health system's facilities, including three hospitals as well as walk-in care locations.

Additionally, the Cerner EHR system gives patients access to a new patient portal, which will take the place of the existing MyMauryCare portal. Via the new portal, patients will be able to view their medical history, lab results, visit summaries and prescriptions as well as request appointments and get in touch with providers.

"This is a major transition, given the size of our organization and the number of services that we offer," said Maury Regional Health CEO Alan Watson. "We ask for patience from the public as we make this transition that will ultimately allow us to provide a greater level of care to the community."
