Redox, an interoperability startup founded by Epic engineers, received $33 million in a new round of financing, TechCrunch reports.

Four notes:

1. Redox offers an interoperable network for healthcare organizations, payers, pharmaceutical companies and technology providers to exchange data.

2. The company uses Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources to power its data sharing abilities.

3. In February, Redox partnered with Microsoft Teams, a business that supports workplace meetings, chat and notes functions on a single platform. Clinicians at hospitals using Teams can securely share EHR data with one another.

4. Redox works with more than 450 healthcare providers, including Cleveland Clinic and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, according to the report.
