Cerner is offering select health systems and research organizations access to de-identified COVID-19 patient data to help support epidemiological studies, clinical trials and medical treatments for the disease.

The de-identified data is stored on Cerner's HealtheDataLab, powered by Amazon Web Services. Healthcare providers will have free access to the database, which includes COVID-19- related information to help track disease spread and surge and detect underlying illnesses and chronic conditions, among other capabilities.

A committee of Cerner associates and industry advisers will review applications of select recipients who will gain access to the data.
