Cerner establishes office space for VA-DOD work

Julie Spitzer -

Cerner has set up a new office in Rosslyn, Va., for staff working on its EHR modernization contracts with the Veterans Affairs and Defense departments, according to ARLnow.

The North Kansas City, Mo.-based EHR vendor will take over the entire 14th floor of the building — also home to Nestle's U.S. corporate headquarters — as well as part of the 12th floor.

Cerner signed a $10 billion, 10-year contract with the VA earlier this year and plans for its EHR to go live at three test sites in the Pacific Northwest by March 2020. The company has been working on the DOD's transition since early 2017.
