Quincy, Calif.-based Plumas District Hospital will install a Cerner-based EHR system this fall.

Four notes:

1. The new EHR will replace eight other systems currently being used by Plumas District Hospital.

2. The hospital will also implement Cerner's CommunityWorks EHR at its two rural healthcare clinics, Quincy-based Plumas Rural Health Center and Indian Valley Medical Center in Greenville, Calif.

3. CommunityWorks is Cerner's cloud-based EHR model designed for community, critical access and specialty hospitals.

4. Plumas District Hospital patients will also be able to access Cerner's online patient portal to view their health information, schedule appointments and make financial payments, among other capabilities.
