Beatrice (Neb.) Community Hospital and Health Center deployed the Epic EHR platform Dec. 1.
The organization launched the Epic system in its physician clinics in October 2016. It now launched the platform at its main hospital campus.
The organization is moving from multiple health record systems to one shared platform, that allows providers to easily and securely exchange patient data as well as give patients access to their health information via an online patient portal. Patients can view test results, communicate with providers and manage appointments. The new patient portal replaced the Connect2MyCare patient portal from Change Healthcare.
Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center is part of the Nebraska Medicine Community Connect Epic network. The network also includes Great Plains Health in North Platte, Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk and Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings.
