Atchison (Kan.) Hospital debuted Meditech's Expanse EHR April 1.
Three notes:
1. Using Meditech Expanse, a web-based EHR, Atchison Hospital will be able to store all its patients' records on one platform.
2. The critical access hospital brought on Meditech consulting firm Engage to help with the EHR implementation.
3. Engage provided consulting services, including project management, ambulatory EHR lead and physician training.
"One reason Engage was chosen was because of their model of having specialists on staff as opposed to contractors," Atchison Hospital Information Technology Director Terry Davis said in a news release. "That seemed very attractive along with their experience working in critical access hospitals and with the Expanse ambulatory system."
