Allscripts' CEO Paul Black throws first pitch at Cubs game

At Healthcare Professionals Night at Wrigley Field in Chicago June 5, Allscripts CEO Paul Black commenced the Cubs game against the Philadelphia Phillies by throwing out the first pitch.

Allscripts, which sponsored the community night event, tweeted a picture of Mr. Black, clad in a striped Cubs jersey, tossing the baseball. Along with their game ticket, fans received a Cubs-themed scrub top.

Mr. Black has served as CEO of the Chicago-based health technology company since 2012. Allscripts started as a relatively small medication management company in 1986. Today, it serves 2,500 hospitals, 45,000 physician practices and 19,000 post-acute agencies and offers various health technology products, including an EHR, a population health management platform, a precision medicine tool and a financial management solution.
