Advocare deploys eClinicalWorks EHR at nearly 200 practices

Advocare, a Marlton, N.J-based physician-owned medical group, implemented an eClinicalWorks cloud-based EHR system across its almost 200 practice locations.

Advocare partnered with eClinicalWorks two years ago to develop and implement the EHR and revenue cycle management platform. The new system replaces the multi-specialty physician group's previous management services system, which was in place for 21 years.

With eClinicalWorks' cloud-based EHR, Advocare patients will have access to a mobile patient portal for scheduling appointments, viewing their health records and communicating with their provider, among other capabilities.

Advocare comprises nearly 200 practice locations, which serve 590,000 patients through New Jersey and Pennsylvania. During the medical group's EHR go live, eClinicalWorks provided almost 175 training resources for additional support.

"Advocare has nearly two dozen specialties and our patients frequently receive care from providers across our vast network," said Howard Orel, MD, Advocare President and CEO, according to the news release. "Now their records will be in one chart, leading to better communication among Advocare [physicians] and ultimately, enhanced care."
