Athenahealth added two more applications to its "More Disruption Please" program, which is  available to athenahealth's nearly 111,000 healthcare providers.

DocSpera is a HIPAA-compliant software platform for surgeons and surgical staff to automate and manage pre- and post-operative care across the surgical continuum of care. Healthicity's compliance platform helps providers deliver a more streamlined approach to evaluating their organizations' compliance programs and the efficiency of compliance auditing.

"Healthcare organizations — of all shapes and sizes — are still using spreadsheets and file folders to document and audit their compliance programs. With so much potential risk involved, we think we can help them do better," said Barry Johnson, DDS, president of Healthicity.
