GE HealthCare reports Q4 revenue growth, income slips

Newly independent GE HealthCare reported $4.9 billion in fourth-quarter revenue, an 8 percent increase driven by growth in its imaging, patient care solutions and ultrasound business units.

The company's fourth-quarter income was $554 million compared to $564 million a year prior. In 2023, the company is looking for organic revenue growth between 5 and 7 percent, according to a Jan. 30 GE HealthCare news release.

Additionally, the company reported earnings per share of $1.21 compared to $1.24 a year earlier.

"Looking ahead, we're confident that our accelerated investment in innovation, as well as standardization across platforms, will drive revenue and margin growth," GE HealthCare President and CEO Peter Arduini said in the release. "We're seeing customers continue to invest along with macroeconomic tailwinds, such as increasing healthcare digitization, expanding access to care, and an aging population globally. We are well positioned to deliver on our 2023 commitments."
