Virginia Tech launches $1.5B fundraising campaign for innovation campus

Blacksburg-based Virginia Tech launched its largest-ever fundraising campaign on Oct. 11, with a goal of raising $1.5 billion to support innovative research and education in health sciences, technology, data analytics and more.

The "Boundless Impact: The Campaign for Virginia Tech" campaign is expected to run through June 2027. The funding will fuel initiatives across the university's colleges and major programs. Among these are the construction of a four-building Global Business and Analytics complex and the expansion of the school's Health Sciences and Technology Campus and Innovation Campus, the latter of which is currently in construction outside Washington, D.C.

Other priorities of the campaign including advancing Virginia Tech's diversity and inclusion efforts to recruit more students from underrepresented or underserved groups, and developing new internships, collaborations and other programs beyond the classroom to help students succeed in interdisciplinary projects.
