Microsoft partners with AstraZeneca for AI health tech accelerator

Andrea Park -

Microsoft and AstraZeneca launched the AI Factory for Health, an accelerator program for early-stage companies using artificial intelligence to address issues in healthcare.

The AI Factory for Health's first cohort, announced at the end of November, will comprise six startups. Interested companies must have already developed an AI-based health solution for patients or providers and completed at least one round of fundraising.

In the program, which will be based in Paris, the chosen startups will have access to Microsoft's tech expertise and Azure cloud network, and AstraZeneca's clinical assets and connections to other healthcare institutions. They will receive mentoring and guidance throughout the growth process, from technical development to marketing strategy.
