'Digital Health 150': 23andMe, Tempus among most innovative, best-funded healthcare startups

CB Insights released its inaugural list of the 150 most innovative startups in digital health, spanning consumer health and wellness, genomics, drug discovery, digital therapeutics and more.

The "Digital Health 150" was compiled from a pool of more than 5,000 digital health startups, based on criteria that included their novelty and market potential, partnerships, investor profiles, team strength and the level of competition within their sectors.

The companies on the list range from those in the earliest stages of growth to a total of 17 that have already achieved unicorn status, with valuations of at least $1 billion. The most well-funded companies within the Digital Health 150 represent a variety of sectors within digital health.

Here, according to CB Insights, are the 10 best-funded startups among the most innovative companies in healthcare:

1. GRAIL (Menlo Park, Calif.) — $1.61 billion

2. Oscar Health (New York City) — $1.26 billion

3. WeDoctor (Hangzhou, China) —$1.03 billion

4. 23andMe (Mountain View, Calif.) — $ 790 million

5. Babylon Health (London) — $635 million

6. HeartFlow (Redwood City, Calif.) — $531 million

7. Tempus (Chicago) — $520 million

8. American Well (Boston) — $506 million

9. Proteus Digital Health (Redwood City, Calif.) — $473 million

10. Bright Health (Minneapolis) — $440 million
