Cedars-Sinai Accelerator

The Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai Accelerator supports early-stage companies that are developing healthcare solutions. Forty-seven companies from around the world have participated in the three-month program that offers mentorship and the ability to collaborate with clinicians, researchers and other Cedars-Sinai experts. Upon acceptance into the program, companies receive a $100,000 in investment.

More than 80 percent of the startups that have participated in the program, which graduated its first class in 2016, are still active and collectively have raised more than $175 million in funding. Many of the companies are focused on digital healthcare or health technology solutions.

Cedars-Sinai was also the pilot site for Apple's HealthKit and have continued to foster an environment of innovation. The system also has a technology transfer program for internal innovation and research.
