California hospital gets $2M to start tech, innovation endowment fund

Santa Maria, Calif.-based Marian Regional Medical Center Foundation received a $2 million gift to support technology and innovation.

The hospital, part of Dignity Health, will use the gift to create the Advanced Technology and Innovation Endowment Fund, which will invest in medical equipment and technology for the hospital. Members of the community can also contribute to the fund and support the hospital's investment in new equipment and technology breakthroughs.

"This impactful contribution comes at a much-needed time as local residents' healthcare needs continue to grow at a rapid pace," said Sue Andersen, president and CEO of the hospital, in a news releasee.

The donor wished to remain anonymous.
