Bayer backs St. Louis hub for bioscience, innovation with $1.5M grant

Bayer has awarded a $1.5 million grant to BioSTL, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering growth in St. Louis' bioscience, innovation and technology community.

The grant will help fund BioSTL's new headquarters in the city's Cortex Innovation Community, and will also go toward the expansion of the organization's business development programs. To commemorate the partnership, the new facility's conference room will be named the Bayer Board Room.

BioSTL's range of offerings includes the BioGenerator investor to grow and fund companies and entrepreneurs; BioGenerator Labs, which provides startups with lab and office space and equipment; and the GlobalSTL initiative to bring high-growth international firms to the city by partnering them with local companies.
