AHA Innovators Network recruits data-driven clinical trial platform

Medable, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based developer of a cloud-based platform facilitating data-driven clinical trials, has joined the American Heart Association Center for Health Technology & Innovation's Innovators Network.

As part of the network, Medable will work with the center to develop the Human Heart Digitome, expected to be the largest real-world database specifically for the understanding and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Patient data in the registry will not only be used in research and clinical trials, but will also be analyzed with Medable's predictive analytics tools to help physicians identify at-risk patients and improve outcomes.

Members of the Innovators Network are selected to combine their technology with the AHA's own digital resources in order to develop high-tech solutions to advance knowledge and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Other members include Livongo, Biofourmis and PAI Health, a software company offering heart rate-tracking data analytics technology that joined the network in June.
